I immediately communicated to the

Imperial Consul-General at Canton Your Excellency's Note No. 189 of the 21st November regarding

British interests in the Canton-Kowloon Railway.

I would take this opportunity to invite

the attention of the British side to the fact

that, according to reports which I have received

from the spot, a considerable number of coaches

belonging to the Chinese section have been taken

into the British Leased Territory of Kowloon.
